  • Speaker: High School And College Students, Professors, Experts
  • Audience: Students, Teachers, General Public
  • Note: The below-written speech is complex and detailed. This might be hard to remember for primary students.

Namaste!

I am…..(Self Intro)

Welcome you all to this seminar/auditorium…..

Our planet’s alarm is going off, and it’s time to wake up and take action!”

Leonardo DiCaprio

This quote is not for waking up those who sleep daily, but if we go into details, it is asking us to wake up to know the problem of climate change and global warming, which is drastically affecting our home and our planet, and if we don’t take any action soon, we will be feeling devastated, and by then everything will be ruined.

There will be a constant increase in temperature. The increase in the earth’s temperature carried on by the release of greenhouse gases is known as global warming. The consequences for the environment could be devastating. The polar ice caps are melting, and water levels are rising as a result of the rise in temperature.

Global warming may only be attributed to people. Carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants have increased in the earth’s atmosphere as a result of human activities such as gas emissions from power plants, transportation, and deforestation.

The burning of fossil fuels to produce electricity, which is also the main source of carbon pollution, is what causes human activities to contribute to the release of these gases, and the coal industries play a significant role in this process.

The greenhouse gas effect is caused by pollutants that trap solar radiation and remain suspended in the atmosphere for centuries after these gases are released into the atmosphere. This process tends to absorb solar radiation that would otherwise naturally bounce off the earth’s surface.

Now you will be thinking that there are so many gases in the atmosphere that if they don’t affect us, then how do these ones affect us? Do you know the consequences of these?

The consequence of global warming is that people are losing their houses and possessions.

Global warming also has an impact on the oceans. Toxic chemicals thrown into the ocean by factories and cars are causing pollution in the oceans. As a result, pollution is spreading into the oceans. The melting of the ice caps and glaciers is another effect of global warming on people. Because they shield us from floods and other natural disasters, these ice caps and glaciers are incredibly significant. More extreme weather events like hurricanes and tornadoes will result from the melting of these ice caps and glaciers. Sea levels rising as a result of global warming also affect individuals. Coastal communities will be inundated by rising sea levels.

I believe that this is a problem that should concern us all. In my opinion, neither blaming others nor ignoring this issue are appropriate responses. That’s what I’m going to talk about today—what we need to do about it. There are several causes of global warming that we should be concerned about. If we don’t take action, there will be increasingly severe weather, and we risk losing many of our natural resources. Our way of life and the end of the world as we know it could both result from this.

We virtually certainly won’t be able to reverse the effects we’ve had on the world. But we are not too late to begin making a difference. Every little action counts.

In the words of Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

The rest will undoubtedly come next. Global warming is becoming a very serious issue. This planet’s future is in doubt. This planet must be returned to the way we found it.

-How can we manage the current circumstances and create a better planet for coming generations? is the key question.

Each person takes baby steps in the beginning. Instead of using high-wattage lighting, start using cloth bags made of sustainable materials for all of your shopping. Use energy-saving light bulbs, turn off the electricity, conserve water, stop deforestation, and promote tree planting. Use solar and wind energy instead of fossil fuels like oil and coal. Donate used clothing to someone so that it can be recycled rather than tossed away. Donate used books to avoid paper waste. The most important thing is to increase global warming awareness. Every little thing a person does to protect the environment makes a difference, no matter how modest.

In this lovely world, we are the sole tenants, and we are required to return everything we have taken. It’s never too late to start making improvements to our lovely world.

I conclude my speech with these remarks: I’m hoping that together we can stop global warming.

Thank you
